Equivariant - Invariants on Homogeneous Spaces

Let D be a homogeneous Dirac operator on the quotient M = G=H of two compact connected Lie groups. We construct a deformation ~ D of D and calculate its equivariant-invariant G (~ D) explicitly on the dense subset G 0 of G that acts freely on M. On G 0 , G (~ D) and G (D) diier only by a virtual character of G.

Equivariant Quantum Cohomology of Homogeneous Spaces

We prove a Chevalley formula for the equivariant quantum multiplication of two Schubert classes in the homogeneous variety X = G/P . As in the case when X is a Grassmannian ([Mi1]), this formula implies an algorithm to compute the structure constants of the equivariant quantum cohomology algebra of X.

The notion of quantum group equivariant homogeneous vector bundles on quantum homogeneous spaces is introduced. The category of such quantum vector bundles is shown to be exact, and its Grothendieck group is determined. It is also shown that the algebras of functions on quantum homogeneous spaces are noetherian.

We reinvestigate the theory of deformations of tilings using P -equivariant cohomology. In particular we relate the notion of asymptotically negligible shape functions introduced by Clark and Sadun to weakly P -equivariant forms. We then investigate more closely the relation between deformations of patterns and homeomorphism or topological conjugacy of pattern spaces.
